Carey Bates - Ms. Bates returns this year to the women's chorus after performing in last year's production of Ruddigore. A technical writer by day, Ms. Bates enjoys singing in operettas, barber shop type groups, as well as karaoke. Ms. Bates studied voice under Allen Huszti at Sweet Briar College, and plays piano, bassoon, oboe, French horn, guitar, and bass guitar. She also sang in the Sweet Tones, an a capella singing group at Sweet Briar. She has a Master's Degree in Public Communication, resides in Stamford, and is currently a technical writing contractor for IPC in Fairfield, CT.
Stamford girl Rachel L. Schulte is thrilled to be in the production of The Mikado. Other favorite roles include Newsy 5 in Fiorello, Francisco in The Miracle of Fatima, and General Cartwright in Guys and Dolls. She would like to thank God for her gift, her family for their love and support (special thanks to grandparents who take her everywhere), Curtain Call, Erin, and her BFF and "big sis" Shannon for always being there.
When not practicing or rehearsing, she maintains an insurance practice in Westport assisting clients with their business and personal insurance and savings needs. She lives with husband, Bob Perliss. She is grateful to her family, friends and many clients for their loyal support.
