Emila Skala Hull – (Peep-Bo)- Troupers welcomes Emily Skala Hull in her role as Peep Bo in this year’s production of The Mikado. Previous roles include: Anna in The King and I, Marian in The Music Man, Wanda in Beehive, Elsa Schraeder in The Sound of Music, and  Lily McBain in Swingtime Canteen. She also performed in the Gilbert and Sullivan production of Gondoliers during her freshman year at Kenyon College and later as Lady Bracknell in The Important of Being Earnest at Principia College. High school performances include roles with the Connecticut Grand Opera in their Media, Faust, and La Traviatta productions (Stamford and Bridgeport).

Emily studied voice privately while training and dancing with The Pennsylvania Ballet in Philadelphia. She continued to study voice privately as a music major at Kenyon College but transferred to Principia College where she graduated with a degree in Theater.  While Emily continues to study voice, her first career choice was that of a ballerina. Hence, her very first professional stage production was as a Soldier in the New York City Ballet's production of The Nutcracker under the direction of George Balanchine. The following year, she performed in their production of Copelia. She continues to marvel at the experience of performing in Lincoln Center on the New York State Theatre stage!!!!

Emily continues to dance. She teaches ballet at Ballet Etudes in Norwalk as well as at the Westport YMCA Dance Center. Her last appearance was with Sono Dance Company of Norwalk in their annual Nutcracker, dancing en pointe as the Arabian soloist.

Emily grew up in Darien, but attended Daycroft School in Greenwich. This allowed her to commute into New York City to attend the School of American Ballet. Over the past ten years, Emily has also enjoyed soloing regularly at Christian Science churches near her home. She just returned to Fairfield County after living in Kansas for seven years where she was the Ballet Mistress and Associate Director of a dance studio.

Emily returned to the area a year and a half ago and has enjoyed the opportunity to spend more time with family and friends. She currently resides in South Norwalk with her husband Aaron and their Australian Shepard Jake. She also has a 'little one' on the way.  Emily loves going on hikes, bike rides, and just about anything that would let her enjoy more of the awe inspiring beauties of nature and the outdoors whatever time of year it may be.
